This lens has seen a lot of use but the glass is in excellent shape. The pictures show the scratching on the body which is one drawback. The other drawback is that infinity focus is a bit quirky. At certain focal lengths it will focus beyond infinity and ocassionally it will stop short of infinity. I have only noticed the short of infinity issue around the 50mm range. When it winds up short you have to recompose by changing the focal length and focus and then coming back to your desired focal length that you want and back to infinity.
I sent this to "Eric" our forum member and Pentax repair guru. He did a complete CLA on this and told me that over time the rollers and guide plates within the lens wear and that these would need to be replaced to eliminate the infinity focus play. Even then he was not positive that it would be 100% cured. I chose not to do this because it is not that bad.
Anyone that knows this lens knows the quality of images from it. It really can produce some beauties. Let me know if you have any questions.
