But what is with the 50 dollar shipping charge? Does it really cost that much to ship from Canada?

Gus, please read a little further down in my listing. I would only charge ACTUAL cost of shipping based on the buyer's wishes.

Shipping charges will depend on buyer's location, parcel post or expedited courier, desired speed of delivery and if full value insurance is required. I can send a lens or a flash unit from Canada to the US for as little as $15 and as high as $85. Overseas can double those costs.
