Wow! A great shot, considering all the lens has been through.
At full image, I think I see some marks on the blinds to the left of the door, but they could be a strange reflection from another source. Either way, this will make a great tool for someone. I fear the final price will be out of my range. Best wishes and thanks for sharing. I am hoping that with the "pending" release of the DA * 50-135 a few more of the FA* 80-200 will find their way onto the marketplace.

You'll be surprised when you see all the things the 80-200mm can do- I consider my copy (managed to get it mint) my best zoom.

If you'd like to discuss the lens further, please start a new thread in the lens category

Holy Smoke!

Well, with 11 hours remaining in the auction, the bid is at €915 ($1243US). With the usual amount of last-minute bidding, I'm going to say you will do alright. I was willing to go up to $1000US given what I know of this lens and your history with it, but it's well beyond me now.

Hi Mike. While I was checking the outcome of the auction, I was in the middle of Code blue at my hospital. I quickly paid the item without even having a second look on what you wrote! Oops. I was wondering what you wrote in there?

P.S. So many Fa* lenses on ebay at present.

Hi James,

I'm in the middle of a code blue in my restaurant at the moment, 100 people coming in for dinner now! I think I wrote that I'll ship first thing on monday!
Got your payment and left you a reply!

Good luck with your code blue :-)

Mike

Indeed a very nice package the last seller is offering. Maybe one day that fast 300/2.8 will find a place in the bag :-)

Cheers,
Mike

Hi James!

You were in the middle of a Code Blue??? Isn't that a situation when someone's dying?? Man, that's a SERIOUS case of LBA!!

Congratulations on your new lens!

Hi Mike!

Congratulations on selling your duplicate! (Wish I could have bought it but I knew the bidding was going to quickly be out of my range. That's too much of a 'catch of a lens' to not have gone skyhigh quickly.) Hope your dinner goes well!
