[SOLD] M42 Macro-Takumar 50mm f/4 1:1 (EU)

I'm closing the thread as I decided to keep the lens for now.

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
M42 Macro-Takumar 50mm f/4 1:1 (EU)

Asking Price

Item Description
I have a Macro-Takumar 50mm f/4 preset version with the 1:1 magnification which I don't use enough. I have found that M42 lenses and MF may not be my cup of tea. As far as I can tell, the lens is more or less flawless. It comes with a pleather/leather case which I believe is the original. Also front ("Asahi Pentax") and rear caps.

What I'm looking for is an AF wide lens in K mount. 21mm ltd might be OK, 15mm ltd even better. A bit less interested in DA 14mm, DA 12-24mm and Sigma 10-20mm lenses, but they're possible too. If the lens in exchange is worth more than this lens, I could pay the difference. At the moment EU only so I don't need to deal with customs duties. If I find no good trade, I may later sell this worldwide.

PM if interested. Below are some pictures of and by the lens.

In addition to the mentioned wide angle lenses, feel free to suggest other trades for AF Pentax glass within EU.

I had no clue...

I did not realize the Macro-Tak 50 was a pre-set lens. Not only that, it looks to have the star shape ap blades in the F8 area like my Pre-set Industar 61

Very cool...

That one does look mint... Good luck with the trade.

There's obviously two versions, mine isn't preset.

Gary... is yours is the S-M-C tak version? If so it is a newer version than this 'Macro Tak'

I believe it has to be newer. AFAIK, the preset version was made 1966-69. The glass is actually about my age, but shows much less wear.

haha... so true in my case too.

Maybe that is why I love these old lenses so much!

Your Macro Tak 50 looks like it was in a time capsule... pretty pretty

I have the preset as well.. man what a lens. I find it extremely versatile because, although slow from a 50mm perspective, it works great as a walk around or portrait lens, but with the ability to do 1:1 macros... now I see why the DA 35 macro is so loved.

It seems yours can only do 1:2. This preset one can do 1:1.
