[SOLD] Metz mecablitz 48 AF-1

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Metz mecablitz 48 AF-1

Asking Price
$200

Item Description
I had to pick this up as a last minute item for a wedding 2 - weeks ago. I used it for that, and that's it! It works great, really a nice flash. More power than a 360 and a swiveling head to boot. I find the exposures to be much better than Pentax Flashes in general, even the 540.

Basicallly brand new, fully functional and cosmetically top-notch.

Please PM with any questions.

Apologies if my post is not wanted but I have a reference that the Metz is about 50% greater power than the Pentax 360. Other differences from the 360 keep these two units from being considered in the same class. Gee....wonder why I am partial to this unit?

People not familiar with Pentax DSLR flashes can check our new source courtesy of Matthew Miller.

Right you are Lee, thanks for correcting me on that one (I edited the original post). You're right this flash is quite a lot better than the 360 (at least I think so) the swivel head alone puts it ahead by a mile, and added power is nice too.

I actually have 2 of these. The reason I'm selling this one is because I'm getting out of weddings and selling off a lot of gear (but not to worry, I'm staying with Pentax ) I'm selling my 540Fgz and keeping my other Metz 48 as my primary flash if that says anything about it capabilities.

Thanks again Lee for setting me straight.

I'd buy it but i already have one.

Its a sweet flash. very quick to reload, has a laser pattern which it throws up in a dark room to help the camera find a focus. I've shot this flash into a no light bathroom and the K10 pefectly focused the shot. Excellent for ceiling or wall bounces, does the full PTTL, only thing it won't do is act as a master flash to trigger remotes. I've usually used the onboard pentax flash to trigger the 48 as a remote, so this has never been a problem for me. also works well with radio triggers.

Dang good price, but i don't need 2 :-)
