There is nothing wrong with this lens, I just don't use it and can't afford it just sitting in my bag.

The front looks like it has the correct flange to be mounted reversed. Am I imagining stuff or is it the case?

If it is, then it's the weirdest but maybe best idea I've seen in a while...

it's built like that to accept the hood.
