[SOLD] Pentax SMC M 50mm F1.7

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Pentax SMC M 50mm F1.7

Asking Price
USD30 ***SOLD***

Item Description
Selling my M 50mm F1.7. I have the F1.4, so I don't really need this laying around.

This thing has definitely seen some use. There's a fair amount of brassing as you can see in the photos, but other than cosmetically it's in good condition.

Glass is free of scratches and is clean for its age except for 1-2 larger pieces of dust (and some fine dust as you would expect). Focus is smooth and aperture moves freely without sticking.

As said, this is not the prettiest lens out there, but it does exactly what you would expect from a M 50mm F1.7. Look at the photos below and in the Flickr set for a detailed view.

Great lens when you get past the fact that you can't trust the cameras metering with it. Many say it's a sharper lens than the 1.4.

I hadn't really noticed it much on my *istD, but just took a few test shots with my new k20d, and it seemed to underexpose a bit. Set it to +1EV and all seemed good. Until you figure out how it exposes with your camera a little bit of chimping might be in order

This is true on my old K10D and current K110D. Awesome lens.

WOW -- look at all those buyers!!! It took me 2 weeks to unload one of those recently! Glad I kept one -- it really is a nice lens.

***SOLD***

As yeatzee mentioned above he pulled the trigger, and it is already boxed up and ready to ship.

It is a really nice lens, but I'm cleaning out in my 50mm 'collection'. I'll be keeping an F 50mm F1.7 and a M 50mm F1.4. Now I just have an A 50mm F1.7 left to sell.

As for selling I think having the items listed explicitly in the thread title really helps a lot.
