The lens is new (never used, and the box never even opened, except I flipped up the lid to take this photo).


I have been asked a few times about the difference between the AL and AL II versions of this lens. I have not used both personally, but it appears from reading a bit that they improved it quite a bit.

For comparison with the old 18-55, the comments on the Amazon are pretty good.

No worries at all Sean, will go to someone who did not get a WHOLE KIT out of the blue. Congratz and right on!!! That is a great present really. My B-Day is coming up and I imagine I would get socks. Hope your outside taking photos of the kids by now.
