SMC Pentax-M 1:2.8 28mm (type 2)

I recently acquired this lens as part of a package deal, and already had 28mm covered (several times over!) so I'm putting this one up for sale.

It is the "type 2" version of the SMC Pentax-M 28mm/2.8, meaning in appearance it has characteristics more akin to the A series than the M series. See Bojidar Dimitrov's page for more details about this unusual lens (which he calls "extremely interesting".)

M 28/2.8 (version 2)

I've listed the condition as "good" because there are a couple of visible wear marks on the lens body and mount (for example, see photo 3 below).

The glass appears in as-new condition (all surfaces and coatings look fine, no sign of fungus, just a little internal dust.) The aperture blades are oil-free and snappy, and focus and aperture controls smooth but firm.

Comes with both caps (which I believe are original) and a Rokinon 1A Skylight filter that was mounted when I bought it.

This lens has an average rating of 8.0 on the PentaxForum Lens Review Database.
