[SOLD] Two Autofocus 100-300mm Lenses

I have two Autofocus 100-300mm f4.5-6.7 lenses for sale. They are very similar so I thought I would list them together.

The first is a Sigma 100-300mm f4.5-6.7 lens in silver. It is in excellent condition. It is light, fast focusing and surprisingly sharp for a consumer zoom. The glass is clean and clear. Aperature blades are snappy. Zoom and Focus controls are smooth. The body has a couple of really light scratches that don't easily show up on the photo. It is very compact at only 4" (10cm) shrunk 6.5" (16cm) fully extended. The autofocus is extremely fast. 55mm filter thread diameter. It is fairly well regarded on the net. Click link: Sigma Reviews Does not come with caps, lens only. Price Reduced Asking $85 + shipping.

The second is a Quantaray 100-300 f4.5-6.7 lens in black. It too is in excellent condition. It is even lighter than the Sigma (because of a plastic mount) and focuses just as fast. Performance is very similar to the Sigma. Glass is clean. Multicoating is perfect. No yellowing or fungus. No visible scratches on body. Focusing and zooming are smooth. Aperature blades snappy. 55mm filter thread. Also only 4" shrunk and 6.7 inches extended. Really great performance for the price. Does not come with caps, lens only. Asking $60 + shipping. Sold.

I am also selling some camera hoods, filters and accessories. If you buy either of these lenses, the shipping on those accessories is free. Please see link here:

Genuine Pentax Hoods and Accessories

I have many great feedback reviews from this site. I also welcome international purchases. I accept Paypal, no additional fees. Shipping rates are:

$10 in the US via USPS priority mail.
$20 to Canada via USPS priority mail.

Please inquire for other international locations.

Thanks.

I have that Quantaray and it's a great performer in its class.

I have also used that Quantaray in a different mount, and it is a great performer for how compact it is.

Don't you think it's the same lens ? I have the Promaster too and I find it very very sharp at 300mm ! (to the point I can't resell it !)

It may very well be both manufactured by Sigma, the size, configuration and performance are very similar. However the focus does turn in opposite directions for the two lenses. The actual "Sigma" is much better constructed including a metal mount, smoother zoom action, so there are some differences.

And you are right, especially on a tripod with remote, it is sharp on the long end, which is both unusual and a pleasant surprise.

LD = low dispersion, LDO = low dispersion optics ?
So this lenses are very strange, better than the newest one in my point of view ... (only weakness : no close focusing)
I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked the pictures at full resolution ... (I'm not sure that my F* 300mm is sharper)

I wouldn't go quite so far.

How about I trade you the sigma for the F*300 then?
