[SOLD] Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 DC Macro - Perfect Condition

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 DC Macro - Perfect Condition

Asking Price
CLOSED
Note: I have decided to keep this lens now because I returned my DA* 16-50 to Adorama. It's too amazing for me to part with now. Maybe later once I get a itch again for the DA*, I post it up. Thank you to everyone who was interested.

Item Description
I bought this lens 2 months ago on July 10th from Adorama. It has become my favorite lens for Landscape and other pictures. I'm only selling it because I'm upgrading to the Pentax DA* 16-50mm in order to take full advantage of my new Pentax K-7. It comes with the box and a Tiffen filter to UV Filter to protect it. There's absolutely no scratch on it or anything.

Please PM me with any serious offer. Thank you

Here are pictures of the lens

Now here are pictures that I have taking with it. For more visit my project website at Geometry | Daily Picture Project . If it's a picture of a landscape, most likely it was taken with this lens.

This picture was taken on the high way while my friend was driving around 90 MPH. That's why the road is out of focus

The Lens flare in here is caused by the Filter and the direct exposure to the sun. It's not anything with the lens just in case someone is wondering

A daily bump. For $500 + shipping (CONUS), I'm adding my Pentax K100D + 17-50mm Kit lens in there. Had it for 2 years. No sign of wear and tear. Based on the pictures' name it had about 9000 actuation but I have to double check since I think the number is too high. If this lens doesn't go soon, I will create another listing with the combo.

i have been looking at buying a 17-70, this lens rivals the famous DA* 16-50, without the QC problem, US shipping only?

OH! I thought the DA* 16-50mm was far better than this. That's the sole reason I bought the DA*. Unfortunately though I don't think I would rather avoid the hassle of shipping it international. If I cant find anyone in the State to buy it and you are still interested, I'll definitely think about it.

even in these forums here in the lens reviews, pentax shooters rate the sigma above the DA*

I definitely wasn't aware of that. My main reason for getting the DA* is for the constant aperture and the weather sealing. I know there are a few bad copies out there but the good ones seem to take wonderful images too. As for this Sigma, it's really an amazing lens so I might have to keep it a little longer if no one pick it up in a few days.

Nice shots! Were any of those taken over at Paynes Prairie?

Thank you ProppaT, Actually they were not taken at Paynes Prairie. Last time The first one was shot at Squirrel Ridge Park near the University of Florida, 2nd 4th and 5th on UF Campus, and the 3rd one was on the highway going back to Gainesville for school

Why don't you mark it "sold"?
