with the prices of sd cards currently , i'll give you $1.50. i just bought a 2gig 60x locally for under $20. i'd suggest just keeping it as a backup or extra. maybe some one esle will chime in.. the thing is that memory is so cheap now a 1/2gig card is not high on peoples minds. it's kind of like the D & DS cameras. when i upgrade to the K10 my DS will be practically worthless compared to what i bought it for.

Thanks for the response. I've never seen a local 2GB for less than $35, so I'll keep an eye out for a deal like you got.

Like I said, the new lower price reflects what I saw a couple cards going for (including shipping) on ebay, but perhaps I'll have better luck in an auction setting. Lots of cards of this size go for little in the auction, but they charge $5 in shipping, etc...

Not all SD cards are used for cameras, some PDAs use them, so maybe there's a market there. Regardless, I'll take my card to the auction listings after the weekend.
