have you used this with either sigma 70-200 or DA*300 and if so with what results?

This is a KA mount and enables all of the features of an "A" lens when attached to your camera along with an "A" lens.
I don't have either of the lenses you mention but this converter will not do auto focus so it would basically make an AF lens behave like an "A" lens.

Not to sound like a moron...BUT...I have a 55-300 DA Lens F/4, does this work with auto focus? I'm looking to use a tc for sports, mainly football. Not sure what you mean by your AF lens becoming an A lens. Thanks.

No problem, with this converter you would need to focus manually, mounted with the 55-300 DA you would lose the ability to auto focus.

Most Teleconverters are not recommended for focul lengths above around 135 mm.
