[SOLD] Pentax-A 35-70mm f3.5-4.5 zoom, Vivitar "28"-70mm f/3.5-4.7 zoom, both wth iss

Not big issues, but they are there.

Pentax-A 35-70mm - $35 SOLD

Extremely compact little zoom, not much bigger than a 50mm lens, with great IQ across its range and with a 1:4 macro mode that sparkles as well. I like this range for chasing kids in the yard; from a normal perspective to in tight to catch their emotions. I would never sell it but I ended up with an F version of the same lens and I use that more. Manual focus with this lens is much nicer, though, and it goes great on my Super Program. Very clean exterior and glass, no haze, scratches or fungus; the issue with this one is that the aperture ring is a little balky, it doesn't turn perfectly smoothly. Makes it a little hard to open up just a half stop without being very careful or looking what you are doing. I paid $60 for the lens, but am discounting it for that reason. I should add that if you are using it on a DSLR you leave it in "A" mode, and the issue never comes up.

The other lens I have is a Vivitar "28"-70mm f/3.5-4.7 zoom - $20

This one isn't quite as compact and only does 1:5 macro. It does have an "A" setting, so all program modes are available and you can use TTL and pTTL flash. I had hoped to enjoy going slightly wider, but for some reason the zoom ends somewhere between 30-35mm and will not go further. The zoom is smooth the rest of the range, as is the manual focus. Serial number starts with 9, so made by Cosina. Shares the high IQ that I have found with other Cosina-made Vivitar lenses, maybe not quite as good as the A lens, but very close.

Off-brand front caps are included, no rear caps but I will wrap them well so no damage occurs. Shipping is $5.95 apiece in the US, might be more elsewhere but I am happy to ship world-wide. If you find the lens other than advertised, I will refund your purchase price. Thanks for looking!

Nick

No interest, huh? These are nice lenses, and pretty cheap. I'll entertain offers....

Yeah, I'm surprised at no movement on the A35-70. It's a great little lens.
