[SOLD] Pentax DA21mm and Pentax 16-45mm

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
New Low Price
Pentax DA21 LTD and Pentax DA 16-45

Asking Price
385

Item Description
1. SOLD The DA21 was acquired from the original owner - a forum member. It is in very good condition - I'd say 8 out of 10 for the body and 9 out of 10 for the glass. The only signs of wear are some marks on the body of the lens - presumably from normal use. The glass shows no signs of anything!

All items included... lens, caps, hood, case, and box. $385

2. SOLD The DA 16-45 was acquired from the original owner. It is also in very good condition. I'd give it a 9 out of 10. Works excellently, focus is quick and accurate. Note: there is the faintest scent of smoke on the lens (a surprise from the previous owner). I have aired it out quite well, and am confident with time it will completely disappear. Not bad at all, but worth mentioning so there is no surprise.

All included... lens, caps (front is replacement), hood, and box. Can provide a photo shortly. $240

Do you mean tobacco smoke, or was it salvaged from a house fire?

No house fire, just a little cigarette smoke. I'm pretty sensitive to that smell, but I had no issues using it for a few hours last night.

O.T. just to serve as a bump

how does smoke come into the lens? or does this just mean there's a faint smell but no haze (smoke). if so, how does one remove this? a lens cleaning, perhaps?

It's like anything else around smoke. Picture yourself in a smokey bar or such. Now go home. What does your clothes smell like? Smoke. More than anything else, the smoke probably latches on to the rubber on the zoom ring.

The 21mm is incredible for its size. When shot around f/5.6, this lens is really, really sharp. I love it for moderate landscapes and for shots where I want to include a person in a landscape. Good luck with the sale, Joe.

Thanks for the bump Rich. If I wasn't dead set on the DA15 and working with a budget, I'd keep it. It's a very intriguing lens.

Joe
