Excellent zoom, with very good reviews on amazon and pentaxforums. It appears to be the same as the Tamron 18-250mm, except that it has Pentax SMC. I bought it from Willoughby's on March 17th this year. It has some signs of wear on the hood mount (and some barely visible on a side of the hood itself)--see pics. Some specks of dust behind the front element--I got into some dusty conditions in Napoli, Italy. It isn't extremely difficult to clean the front element--although it's not worth it, since the minor specks don't affect the images at all. I leave it to the potential buyer to make that decision. Other than that, the lens is in great shape and takes beautiful photos. Absolutely no scratches on the lens. (And the module that DxO recently added to their raw converter brings its output to the next IQ level!) The lens comes with caps and everything else (original box, warranty, manual).
