Monochrome, I have a constant internal battle between the urge to collect and
the urge to be pragmatic and efficient and reduce redundancy. On any given
week, one or the other side can win.

After close inspection, the K 135 has a very slight dent in the filter ring,
something I never noticed because I don't have a 52mm filter or hood to put on
it, so I also don't know if it would affect its ability to take a hood or filter. Frank
opted to accept an M 28 f/2.8 in it's stead, so I guess I'll be keeping the K 135
for a while.

Here are some snaps from the 135 at f/3.5 today in the cold - I notice my keeper
ratio goes down in the cold as I lose patience.

Crops from above:

Awesome photos, Jay - nice you get to keep the 135. I amaze myself that I still have only two FA's and 1 DA.

and 5 50's

First time ever I've done this - left home about 6:30 am yesterday toward a scenic camp, about 90 minutes out. Along with the ever-present AF lenses I took the K's and 2 Tammy's, K10D, KX and K2DMD. Along the way, as the sun was just cresting a ridge, I was enveloped by a HEAVY fog. Crossing a curving railroad track I pulled over to take a shot, mounted the K35, set up the tripod and . . . .

No card in camera - DAMN!! - missing the light! Back to the car . . . .

DAMN!! Didn't check the top pocket on the Slingshot before I left . . . .

Long story short, the card wallet is on my desk, the card reader is still in the USB port, the camera is empty, and - the little bag full of film - is on the island in the kitchen.

Had a wonderful day hiking with my wife, and

As of this moment there is a spare card in every bag I own

So, you could not have a dented ring on the K35?
Wow, your K135 is so sharp, and a nice OOF for 3.5 Congrats on the new zoom... I look forward to hearing and seeing the results.

Sorry to hear of this misadventure. But there is something to be said about being able to let it all go and have a wonderful day with the wife.
