[SOLD] K20D, D-BG2 grip, Sigma 17-70, Sigma 10-20, SMC Takumar 1000mm

Pictures start here!

K20D: SOLD!
This is my daily driver, bought new in December 2008 from Amazon.com. Extended 3-year warranty was requested from Pentax and I have the card, but the camera has not been sent in for service. I have never had any problems with it, and I've never had back/front focus issues with any lens I own.

The current shutter count is approximately 11100. The only issues of note are: slight scratches on the rear LCD (rubbing against the buttons on my work shirt), a tiny amount of dust inside the corners of the rear LCD (had the same issue on my K100D), and few tiny specks of dust on the focusing screen (easily removable if you fiddle with the screen/use a blower on it).

Included with the K20D:
Original box/materials
Original strap
1 original Pentax battery
2 Minolta NP400 batteries
Original battery charger
1 SanDisk Extreme III 2gb SDHC card

$600 shipped in USA. Outside USA, ask about shipping.

D-BG2 Grip: SOLD!
Bought used on the forum less than two months ago. Works flawlessly. Now that I've used it for a couple months I can't imagine the K20D without it. Just feels strange. Includes original box & cap for pins.

$90 shipped in USA. Outside USA, ask about shipping.

K20D + Grip: $675 shipped in USA.

Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4:
Bought used about two months ago. Front element is perfect, rear element has a very light mark that does NOT affect image quality. Focusing is perfect, build quality is solid. It came down between this and the Tamron 28-75, but with the upcoming addition of the Pentax 12-24, I don't really need the extra wide-end reach. Includes original box, hood, materials, 72mm Promaster CPL.

$275 shipped in USA. Outside USA, ask about shipping.

Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6: SOLD!
Bought new from 47th Street Photo about two months ago. Excellent sharpness and of course it allows for very interesting creative possibilities. I've loved the shots I've gotten with it, but I got a deal I can't pass up on the Pentax 12-24, so it's got to go. Only thing of note is that the front element has a small mark (not a scratch, and only visible at certain angles). Includes original box, hood, materials, 77mm Kenko Pro1 Digital CPL. Warranty card is included and has not been used.

$400 shipped in USA. Outside USA, ask about shipping.

K20D + both Sigma lenses: $1175 shipped in USA.

SMC Takumar 1000mm f/8:
Getting this lens to its current state has been quite an odyssey. As you'll see from that link, I got the lens via eBay, where it was advertised as a Takumar 500mm f/4.5. It turned out to be the SMC 1000mm f/8, and I got a hell of a deal. Of course, as with many eBay purchases, things weren't perfect. A bolt was loose inside, and several light baffles had also become unattached. Moreover, the mount had been custom fitted to the Nikon F-mount. With the help of many members of the forum I mananged to get the mount situation figured out. With the help of Eric Hendrickson, I got the lens's internals fixed and also got the elements a thorough cleaning.

Remaining quirks with the lens:
1. Infinity focus is not currently possible, as the T-mount adapter used to get it to K-mount is slightly too thick. However, it focuses several hundred feet without issue.
2. As you might gather from the above, the lens mount can be switched out at will for any T-mount adapter. Currently the lens has a K-mount adapter (thanks to Paul aka monochrome). However, you could conceivably use a screwmount, F-mount, FD-mount, MD-mount, or whatever you like, with no issue other than the above-mentioned infinity focus. (...which should be able to be fixed by filing/cutting off a few mm of the adapter.)

The lens is quite sharp considering its age/design. You can see my initial test pics here. Included are the lens, caps, the K-mount adapter, the F-mount adapter that came with it, and the original(?) steel case. The shipping weight is just over 30lbs. The lens by itself weighs about 12lbs. You'll need a sturdy tripod for this.

I'm selling because I've finally resigned myself to the fact that I have no need for it as I don't typically shoot wildlife or spy on my neighbors across the street. Well, across two or three streets...

I'll give first dibs to any of the guys who helped me out in the above-linked thread.

$500 + (approx $25 CONUS shipping) = $525ish total. USA only, for the moment.

Please PM me with interest on any of the above items. Sales will be made to the first person willing to pay, not necessarily in order of PMs received. Shipping to USA preferred. Thanks!

Yeah, I'm not trying to turn a profit on it--just want to get out what I put into it.

Ben, good luck on the sale. You have extremely wonderful product shots and thanks for the PM. I have the strongest interest in the 10-20mm but I have decided to give the less popular Tamron 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 a try.

And out of the bunch of wonderful gear, someone should take note on the Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5. I tag it as my go-to lens for traveling light and Pentax 1-lens option

Emerald Bay South Lake Tahoe

1/5 sec, f/6.3, 17mm, iso 500, 0 Ev

Good sale, my friend, and you are leaving me behind in the LBA camp

Thanks,
Hin
