I've got the 100-300mm. Mine's got a plastic mount. Lots and lots of reach for very little coin.

Tiger Woods is laughing at your hesitation. Pic taken with my copy of this lens from the other end of the putting green.

I've also got that Quantaray and it's an excellent performer.

That Quantaray looks nice! Want to trade for a Tamron 90-300? Please?

I'm pretty sure you are right about that Promaster being a rebadged Tamron, as I at one point had two copies of the Tamron version.

90-100 must be the worlds shortest zoom range.

That 100-300mm zoom is really quite a good lens. I almost wish I didn't have a lens that covered that range already, or else I'd snap it up in a heartbeat.

Sorry, I meant 90-300. 90-100 would be rather pointless!

Damn it all.... I keep looking at this thread, wondering what I should get rid of to add this lens to my arsenal.

The 100-300mm is sold.

Reducing price on the Promaster 28-80mm to $20 with $5 Priority Mail shipping in the US.

Bump for lowered price on the Promaster.
