[SOLD] CLA'd Spotmatic F; SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4 and Carl Zeiss Jena 35mm f/2.4 lense

Carl Zeiss Jena 35mm f/2.4 - $190 plus $5.95 shipping in US
Accura Diamatic 200mm f/3.9 - $19 plus $6.95 shipping in US Sold for $15 plus shipping

Spotmatic F - Off the Market
Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 50mm f/1.4 - Off the Market

This is pretty sweet gear, but I just have too much. Trying to reduce my clutter of lenses and film bodies. I am happy to ship world-wide but shipping charges will be more and returns less practical. If you find the lens other than advertised, I will refund your purchase price. Thanks for looking!

Nick

Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 35mm f/2.4 lens -
One of the best wide angle M42 lenses, although admittedly not THAT wide, and a handy normal lens on a DSLR (with adapter of course). Very close focusing down to about 1:2 macro, which makes it very similar to the DA 35mm macro, except that it is cheaper, a bit faster, covers a full 35mm film frame and has an aperture ring. (And is all manual, of course). Image quality is very similar to the DA 40mm lens from my informal "use around the house" tests. There used to be a ton available on eBay for $190 each, but it looks like there are fewer now and the going rate has gone up to $230; buy from me and avoid any possible issues coming from Central Europe! Good condition externally but a few bumps and bruises, clear glass without fungus haze or scratches, mechanically sound and smooth.

Accura Diamatic 200mm
And while I am at it - here's a nice old telephoto M42 lens. Reasonably fast for its length, with a built in tripod collar and decent IQ. Glass is clear of fungus and scratches, no haze, aperture blades snap down cleanly. Smooth focus. Has a front cap but no rear one.

I checked my records and adjusted the prices to what I paid for these, from other forum members for the most part. Thanks! Nick

Well, no one else wants to pay $120 for a Spotmatic F, but as I already did, I will just keep it. (I can't let these old bodies I find go unrepaired, it's a problem but not a terrible one). The telephoto lens is still for sale, now only $15 plus shipping as above, and the Zeiss Jena 35mm too - both very nice. Let me know if you're interested!

Hello,
Do you have any idea how the telephoto image quality compares to a m42 Super-Takumar f4 200mm?
Thanks!

Michael, that is a good question. I once had a Super Tak 200mm, and sold it because it was too long fo me and I almost never used it. Then maybe a year later I bought this 200mm, and it is still too long for me. Go figure!

I don't remember any problems with the Super Tak, I think its IQ was good but I didn't correctly archive any sample pictures to check. The accura diamatic is pretty equal, I think, I was surprised by how good the shots were I got with it. In any case, it is now sold, but thanks for your interest.

Indeed, wildlife. Cert Ed, my local camera shop cleans the inside of the camera body, lubricates all the moving parts that need it, and measures and adjusts the meter and shutter so they are spot-on accurate. I had that done on the Spotmatic right before I realized I didn't really need it. But I have since decided I do need it, so glad I did. :-)

It is generally advisable to have any second hand camera in for a "CLA". Not sure about the past tense "CLA'd" but thought it would get the point across. Thanks for looking!

Well, I took some more sample shots with the CZJ 35mm, but they came out so good I am pulling it off the market too. Maybe it will be available later, I do not know.
