Hmmmmm......I am trying to decide if I want to get a Macro or Wide-Angle. Sigma 105mm Macro is similar price. Opposite ends of the spectrum.

I am interested, but not ready to make an offer to purchase yet.

This is a great lens. I spent this afternoon taking shots on a walk in the woods. Highly recommended for the versatility of being able to go from a near fisheye to a normal ultra wide. This is fast becoming my favorite lens. Sharp and with great color rendition.

The 10-17 focuses pretty close, not macro close but the wider DOF gives you cropping options.
This is one of Pentax' best lenses. If you keep it straight on the horizon, there is very little distortion even at 10mm.

You almost get the best of three worlds, FE, Ultrawide and Macro.

So you could crop out the "fish eye" to a reasonable extent? The closer to 10mm the more fish eye and the closer to 17mm the more wide angle?
