[SOLD] M42 Takumar bargains

Pictures can be found here.

I received both of the following lenses as part of a package deal, and decided that I didn't want either one. Shipping for one or both will be $10 in the US for USPS priority mail. For other countries please send me a PM and I will let you know ASAP.

I'll get sample photos up at the above link just as soon as I get a chance. Photos of the lenses are already there. Edit: Sample images posted.

First up I have a SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4. This lens arrived at my door with a focus ring that had a dent significant enough to prevent focusing. I managed to pry it out enough to get things working smooth again, but the focus ring and the barrel are now considerably scratched. The filter ring is also tweaked, but I managed to get a filter on it without much trouble. The lens functions perfectly, it just looks bad on the outside. The aperture blades are clean and snappy, and the aperture ring clicks nicely. there is some dust inside, but it does not seem to affect image quality. I'll throw in the groovy chrome filer that is in the photos, but I have no caps for it. The prices for the 50mm 1.4 have been going up and up! I'll let this one go for $35 plus shipping, any less and I'll learn to love it's "patina". Edit: I've decided to drop the price on this one to $30. Sold.

The other lens is a Super Takumar f4.5 70-150 zoom. It feels kind of... loose. It works great, it's just that there is what seems to me to be a bit too much play between the front barrel and the rear. For what it's worth, I believe this lens to be sharper than my first generation series 1 70-210. The aperture blades look great and function exactly as they should, as does the aperture ring. The lens has some minor scratches and brassing. I will be including the original lens hood, which is somewhat bent at the front but still threads in just fine. The hood has a large area where the paint is rubbed off, you can see it in the photos. I do not have the tripod mount for this lens. I have no rear cap for this lens. You can have it for $20 with a generic front lens cap, or $30 with the original. Edit: Please feel free to make me an offer on this lens. I have absolutely no idea what it is worth.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! -Steve

I finally had a chance to post a couple of pics from the lenses at the above link. They are jpegs from a k100d, corrected for brightness and color, as I shot these late at night under the "wonderful" glow of the florescent lights in my kitchen.
