[SOLD] Tamron AF 2x Teleconverter

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Tamron AF 2x Teleconverter

Asking Price
70 GBP (Open to offers)

Item Description
Bought this TC about two years ago, before i really grew to understand lens optics (ZOMG TELECONVERTER WITH AUTOFOCUS?!?!1111), needless to say, with a sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6, this thing has spent a lot of time in my bag. Not trying to put this TC down though, I've had a few converters, this one has the least degradation of IQ I've seen, I had the idea of removing the elements, creating an auto focus extension tube to stick on my sigma 17-70mm, although I never got up the nerve/skill...

Before buying, please check your lens will auto focus with this converter, I've had 2 returns already, needless to say, I've learned my lesson with Evilbay. I will not accept returns due to buyers failing to check lens compatibility . Excellent condition, one or too small cosmetic scuffs. Will ship anywhere at cost (except Nigeria).

Any questions/comments/blatent holes in my sale, hit me up

I have one of those and I used on the past with tamron 70-200 f2.8 with good results and AF.

Sometimes, when needed more reach I use it with DA* 300/4 instead of the tamron (sdm) 1.4x. I loose AF but being a 7 elements optic I get good results, or in other words, degradation of IQ is very well controled.

(free bump)

PM sent.......

Netuser: Thanks for tip on the Tamron 70-200, sometimes these TC's can be a bit hit and miss in regards to compatibility. Glad to hear it will be fully functional with the Tammy. cheers

No problem

Sometimes, when shooting surf, I have the main camera with DA*300/4 + tamron 1.4x (with sdm) and second camera with the Tamron 70-200 2.8 + tamron 2x.

This way I can go for the surf shoots with DA* and with the zoom available with the tamron lens I go for other type of shoots.
