Item Description
1958 Asahi Pentax "K" in good working order.

The good:

This camera is in fine working order, excellent cosmetic condition, and the lens is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. The camera is overall very, very clean with no serious dings, dents, scratches or blemishes. In short it is in a very collectible condition.

The less than perfect:

There is a small blemish on the pentaprism that I did not notice immediately. It is like a nick across one of the hard edges. It is well represented in the last photo in the below series.

The first curtain has a wrinkle. This does not seem to effect performance however. I've used this camera carefully quite a lot at most shutter speeds and it seems to be working just fine in spite of the wrinkle.

The bottom has some tripod marks, and there is a little paint loss on the viewfinder bezel. At this point it could use a CLA. The interior is a little dusty, and the viewfinder has some dust.

This is a really, really nice camera. It shows much better than the above description might lead you to believe. I've reduced it on the basis of the various flaws, but really cannot reduce it further.

Please don't hesitate to ask questions.

The following was taken in September of this year with this camera using inexpensive Fuji 100 ASA Superia.

Next up... an Asahi Pentax "S."

Bump for an excellent specimen of a K and matching lens. This thing is sweetness and light to hold and handle in person. If I could only keep one m42 body, my K would be it.

Thanks Blue... I agree.

Sadly, hardship forces this sale. I'll have to let my "S" go as well.

Someone will have pry my AP w/ f/2.0 58mm preset from my cold dead hands though.

Bump-That is one sexy looking camera. I am in love with the cosmetics of that lens. Hope you find a buyer that will appreciate it.

Last bump before eBay. Added a photograph taken this past September with this camera and lens. Thanks!

Amazing camera and this one looks like it is in terrific condition. I would snap it up if I didn't have one already. My profile pic is taken with my K.....they are a real joy to use....and were years ahead of their time.

I feel as if I have read the FS description ten times and I am not clear whether this is a kit including the Zebra Auto-Tak 55/1.8 or just the body.

Is the lens included?
