Thanks J... I know the Canon snobs would never let me live it down, but I'll probably buy a Canon mount version of that lens instead of the 70-200/2.8L. I'll still come around here for sure, and anyway, for now I'm keeping my K20d and DA* 16-50 (they were both involved in an incident which left them working perfectly, but not sellable at full price - sound familiar?

). I'm thinking I'll hold onto the K20d, the Tamron 400/4 and the 1.7x AFTC until I can afford a Canon long lens (say at least 500/4) and a crop body like the 40D/50D/7D. In full frame terms (I'm trying to learn to think in full frame terms now
