So I just bought a big lot of old Pentax gear from a guy down here in San Diego in order to get all of his lenses and his darkroom gear. There were several old bodies in the lot and I just don't need any more film camera bodies. Figure I would throw them up here and see if anybody is interested in swapping for anything since that seems to be lots more fun than just selling them outright (you can make me a cash offer for one, but I would rather barter). All have typical wear marks from straps, black paint wearing off here and there. Note no body caps for any of them. I will get some quick & dirty pictures up later tonight or tomorrow morning (I just figured out the "spousal unit" took my digital to work with her). Details on the bodies are below my ramblings.

I don't have anything super specific in mind for a swap and am pretty open... Let me think, I can always use 35mm B&W film, I also wanted to get some Ektar 100 and try it. I suppose you can never have enough lenses, I can use M42, K, and pre AI Nikon stuff for the old Nikkormat FTn I picked up (GASP! Nikon stuff). I could use some daylight film tanks that hold multiple rolls, an extra M42 body of some sort or ??? Impractical, unusual, and/or weird stuff gets extra consideration! Let me know what you want, what you have to swap for it and where you are (to get an idea for shipping costs I would rack up in the swap process) - I am in San Diego California. I may or may not be interested but will respond to all inquires.

EDIT - I received a mail that I must include prices, so I looked at closed / sold auctions on the Ebay and have added some - still looking for fun barter action though.

(2) available - Asahi branded Pentax K1000 bodies, all seem functional, I installed fresh cheap batteries and the meters seem to work (how accurate I don't know). All were missing mirror foam and since I had some leftover I installed a new piece in each. All seem to wind and fire fine. $35 each & shipping costs

(Swapped) later K1000 (no Asahi branding) - also gave it a quick once over - meter works, new mirror foam, winds and fires - has small dent on bottom around tripod mount but doesn't seem to affect anything $30 & shipping costs

(SOLD) ME Super Body - fresh batteries, new mirror foam, metering seems to work, winds and fires, self timer works $45 & shipping costs

(SOLD) K1000 SE - damaged - parts or repair this one is actually cracked on the left side of the mount as you look at the front of the camera and the whole mount will swing to the right. If you had another damaged one you could take the mount assembly off and swap it out. I threw a battery in anyway and the meter seems to work. It also winds and fires. $10 & shipping

Ok the ME Super was just picked up by someone, also one of the older Asahi K1000's has sold. Looks like the newer K1000 is pending for a swap.

Anyone that buys the repair one.
It needs the two screws for the left side of the lens plate. And then you can dress it up with some cool leather.

It is indeed more than that couple screws - that whole front plate is cracked.

Ahh. That is still an easy fix. No springs to pop out. I just saw another for repair, I'll go find it.
