I bought a brand new Kx kit with 18-55 and 55-300mm lens but do not need this SMCP-DAL 55-300mm f/4-5.8 ED lens. It is in brand new condition, just took it out for picturing.

Please note no branded exterior box since it came as a kit lens in a whole box.

Not to be nit-picky, but this is the newer DA L without quick-shift focus, not the DA version.

It does not come with a hood either, if I am not mistaken ???

It comes without lens hood, quick focus and has a non metal mount.

This is not a 55-300mm f4-5.8 ED, it is the L version and there is a difference. Optically they are the same., but the lenses are different !

I find the Quick Focus feature an major plus in the Pentax line, that is why my 18-55mm L that comes in a kit with the K-x will be sold as soon as I get a good copy of the K-x camera (battery issues with the first unit, second camera to arrive tomorrow).

Thanks for all your comments. Actually, I don't really know how much different the two lens are. I was told it is the L version with the same optical quality and mentioned in the description and pictures. I will add the 'L' on the title to avoid any possible confusion. Thanks
