In case you're wondering, my justification for posting this camera on our Pentax site is that the Japanese translation of "Agfa" is "Pentax" (or so I've been told).
German Agfa Super Solinette 50's 35mm folder.
It's a rare Top-Of-The-Line model with a fully coupled rangefinder &
their excellent Solinar lens & top-line Sychro-Copur 500 shutter,
easily the equal of the legendary Zeiss Tessar of the same era.. It
was fully CLA'd last year, & is consequently in excellent mechanical shape.
Good cosmetic condition.... no dings, dents, or leather
damage on body (it's been & continues to be protected by it's
original fitted leather case). Crystal clear lens with no cleaning
marks, scratches, hazing, or fungus. Shutter works correctly at all
speeds & aperture settings. Focusing action is smooth,
playfree & glitchfree. Aperture blades snappy & oil-free.
No holes in bellows. Not only is this top line model difficult to find
(the vast majority that turn up have no rangefinder & their inferior 3 element lens), but almost impossible to find in this condition..... Agfas are infamous for having their mechanisms freeze up over time, due to the type of lubricants they used, as was this one before I CLA'd it..... now it works like new. Comes with it's original fitted leather case (like virtually all
of these cases, needs sewing on bottom seam, as the thread deteriorates over time)..... $60
Will also consider full or partial trade for excellent condition Preset Takumar or auto-Takumar lens (especially Zebra 55mm, 105mm, 83mm) in excellent condition, or Pre-Spotmatic (H, S, or K) brown leather fitted case in excellent condition.
