[SOLD] Lens Collection

Thank you Ladies and Gents. You're a great buying crowd. Everything is SOLD and I am shipping the last box in the next half hour. You guys almost worked me into the ground trying to keep up with the speed of your communications and the need to ship 7 lenses with all that entails. Thanks a bunch and I trust the successful buyers will enjoy their new equipment! Bob

PRICE REDUCTIONS - 12-15-2009

Gentlemen & Ladies:

In preparation for retirement and in the interest of divesting myself of a generous collection of LBA impulses, I am offering the following gems for sale. Here are my terms:

All items all like new-to the best of my memory and mature eyes there is no dust, no fungi, no scratches, no drops;

Terms of Payment-Paypal - shipment on confirmation of funds receipt

All Prices are Firm and and includes delivery to all US destinations. $10 extra to Canada. No overseas shipments please. Per current EBay and Amazon lookups, I have tried to be competitive. Those items that don't sell will go to my granddaughter.

I'm still working 10 hour days, so do not have time to to submit photo's and answer endless questions that aren't answered by the description: "all items are like new". If you need to see what the lens looks like, go to the lens review section of this forum. If anything is received otherwise, you may return it for a refund.

Also, if you need seller reassurance, read my seller profile references. I always try to more than live up to my end of the deal. So here they be:

1. SMC Pentax - FA 31mm F1.8 AL Limited (Black) $725.00 USD SOLD

2. SMC Penta - FA 50mm F1.4 $250.00 USD SOLD

3. SMC Pentax - FA 35mm F2 AL $385.00 USD SOLD

4. SMC Pentax - DA 21mm F3.2 Limited $400.00 USD SOLD

5. SMC Pentax - DA 10-17mm F3.5-4.5 fish-eye ED $375.00 USD SOLD

6. SMC Pentax - DA 17-70mm F4 Al [IF] SDM $325.00 USD (Note: this is SDM - Can only be used with K-Mounts that have the proper electrical contacts for the internal lens motor K-10d, K-20d, K-7, etc; there is no screw drive on this lens as a backup-but WOW is it quiet!) SOLD

7. SMC DA L 55-300mm 4-5.8 $215.00 USD. SOLD

8. Tamron Macro SP AF28-75mm F/2.8 XR Di LD $275.00 USD SOLD

Why is there this aversion to shipping things outside of the US??
I have tried to buy a 55-300 DA L twice now and each time - only ship with CAN/US

Personal experinece

Having shipped items to places outside the US, it is so much simpler to ship within. The price for tracking or insuring international shipment is unusually high. One might have to mark "gift" not fully willingly. Just IMHO.

Sometimes it is clearly xenophobia. Other times there is this perception that shipping to other places would be a lot of extra effort. But if the buyer is williing to accept the expense of shipping, duty, and taxes there is no burden on the vendor. One still has to go to a post office and stand at the counter.

xenophobia or reality?

Xenophobia is a really strong word.

Have you ever added a tracking/delivery confirmation or insurance to international shipping? If you have, you would know what I am talking about... Tracking/delivery confirmation is a precondition for Paypal protection, unless you do not want any protections.
