If you've been tempted to mess around with m42 (screwmount) lenses, this is a cheap way to get started.  On both lenses, the glass is in excellent condition. They come with both front and end caps. There are small places where there's been a little bit of paint loss, but nothing out of the ordinary for these older lenses. The aperture rings work smoothly and I don't see any oil on the blades. The lenses: Vivitar 35/2.8-- $20.00 There have been different variations of this lens, from what I understand. This one has the 52mm filter. The serial number is 3753403. It has an auto-manual switch. While it seems a little tight in comparison to other MF lenses I've used, the focusing ring works smoothly. SOLD! Sears 55/1.4--$20.00 The IQ on this one compares favorably with the Super Tak 55/1.4. It's serial number is 266437 and it has an auto-manual switch. The focusing ring moves nice and smooth. SOLD! M42 to EOS adapter: $15.00 I bought this back just a couple of months ago from the Fleabay seller Rainbowimaging. It has the focusing chip on it, but I've found it's been hit or miss when using it with the above lenses and my 40D. It's only been used a handful of times and is in like-new condition.
