Item Description
I have bad feelings associated with this lens -- I got it from a seller in Canada with oily aperture blades, and it would've cost me too much money to return back for a refund -- so I just want to get rid of it. My loss is your gain. You get a nice, fast, sharp Rexatar 200mm f/3.3 M42 telephoto lens with oily and fidgety aperture blades, but smooth focus, if you'll just pay the cost of shipping. You can set the aperture blades and they'll usually stay where you want them to be. If you're so inclined, it will probably be an easy fix. There are minor scratches on the body and glass, and a tiny bit of the grip is coming up (not bad). There is a neat pull-out like on some Pentax lenses, built into the body.

For free, how can you go wrong?

Worldwide shipping is expensive, as it's tracked/insured. If you want untracked at your risk, it is $20 Canada/$24 Worldwide. I will provide proof of shipping, after that, it's out of my hands in this case.

curious question, relating to performance stopped down.

I have an Auto Rikenon 135mm F2.8 that looks identical to this lens in mount arrangement and build. WIde open, and when indoors, the lens is great, but outside it really suffers from flare, and the hood is ineffective. it needs a hood about 120mm long to even work outside.

How does this lens compare.

also where in the US are you?

Flare is not too bad, but there is some with incidental lighting. The hood genuinely helps. Being a longer focal length also has a slight impact on reducing flare. I would post some sample shots, but I don't have an M42 adapter at the moment. Maybe with my T-mount adapter if I can manage that.

I'm on the east cost of the USA. PM me for further details if you're interested, and thanks!
