Quote: Package also comes with a Mack 7 year warranty card - though I'm not sure how that works
If I'm not mistaken and if I remember correctly, the mack warranty can be transferred, assuming you actually registered the product with Mack (or whoever actually services the warranty). For what the info is worth, the Manufacturer warranty is NOT usually transferable. The new owner must show ownership of the covered product for the mack.
I bought a camera several years ago that had one and I waited too long to re-register it so it was null and void. If it's an important selling (or buying point), I would strongly suggest knowing before purchase. For me, on one of these little jewels, it wouldn't matter because the FA limiteds (and the DA limiteds) are built like a tank.. I would however have it insured as a rider on my homeowner's policy.
Good luck with your sale, and congrats to whoever gets the lens.
