Pretty much as the title states. Vivitar Macro Focusing 2x Teleconverter. There are 2 basic versions of this item, the PK and the PK/A. This one is the PK meaning it does not pass through FL, Aperture, or any other information from the lens. Strictly manual operation here friends. I've gone with Good condition on this item because as you can see, No front cap. Aftermarket Rear cap. I'm not saying it's unmarked but if it weren't for lack of proper caps (a simple pentax body cap is what fits the front), I would be calling this excellent condition. The glass is clean the outer surface is clean and the focus ring is silk smooth. I'm selling it because I have the PK/A version as well and this one just rides the shelf.

In case you don't know, this gem will take your fast 50 and turn it into a 100mm 1:1 macro lens. So if you are fortunate enough to have an f1.2 then you'll have a 100mm f2.4 1:1 Macro lens. If you are using an A lens, you'll have to take it off of the A position to use this converter. Otherwise, it's just like using any M or K lens in your bag. Other focal lengths will work of course, I just don't know what the actual magnification ratio will be.

It Plays Well with other lenses too, even Macro lenses.. Just for Show sake, THESE were a Macro study I did of my lenses of the time, Some of them, using this same TC. Each photo is labeled on the bottom of the frame and where it notes, w TC, this converter was used. I also give distance ranges and mag settings so you can get an idea of how practical this unit may be for you. In all cases, the focus is Manual and the focus point is between the letters B and A. The camera was my original K10d.

I will NOT be accepting Lower offers on this unit. Nor will I declare it as a gift for customs. Asking me to do so is asking me to commit a felony in order to cheat YOUR government. Not an option for me.
