Bring me your tired, your cheap, your huddled masses of vivitars, focals, and sigmas...
I'm looking for a parts donor for a lensmount transplant I'd like to do. I have a 28mm f/2.8 lens, and it needs a new KA-mount (meaning manual focus, but automatic aperture with electrical contacts for max. 2.8). Help a mad scientist bring some great glass to his Pentax!
I am willing to pay up to $30 for a good, all-metal-mount sample (yes, I've seen *plastic* KA mounts!), shipped. Obviously, this might barely cover the shipping from some countries and locations, which is up to you, but that's the idea behind a donor lens. If you're in Toronto, Ontario, this is quite a deal, and if you're not, you can let me know if you'd prefer maple syrup instead of a paypal credit. ;-)
Doesn't matter if the lens is metal or plastic bodied, has fungus stains, chips, cracks, broken aperture blades, or even if the front element is missing!
And I'll even add bonus cash of $5 for a mount that has a "retainer ring" between the mount and the rear element.
Here is an image of a KA-mount 28mm f/2.8 lens with the retainer ring (the black ring with 3 screws in it just inside the chromed lensmount). That inner ring is convenient for me, but not required...
Thanks!
