You've looked and only found the inferior "Takumar" versions being offered. This is partly because the market on these is rising as videographers join photographers in looking for the great narrow depth-of-field lenses like this one. Odds are good that whatever you pay for this lens, it will bring more tomorrow. This lens is as close to MINT as any I have ever owned. You have to get out a magnifying glass to find the tiny indications of wear that are so evident on most other examples. This lens has had very little use. I traded an old tool to an old tool collector for it a short while ago and am only selling because I have the opportunity to purchase another legendary lens and need the funds!
