This is a very nice lens. Surprisingly you might think it's not that great as this was a common focal range for a kit lens on film cameras. I bought it as a 'backup" to lenses I use for wedding work and with 3 covering the same range, this gets no use.

But it's very sharp, nice and light and very compact. It does extend when zooming but not too much.

Includes the hood and caps.

I've included a couple of shots with my favourite test subject to give you an idea of the IQ. The lens has a "macro" setting for close focus. 52mm filter size.

Have a look at the last shot that is a 100% crop of the 4th shot. Very good detail at this price.

If you want a nice mid focal range lens that is sharp, you can't do much better than this without going to the much more expensive and faster zooms.

Includes Bayonet hood, front and rear caps.

I have the "II" version of this lens, and I agree, it is very, very sharp, especialy for a budget zoom.

Edit: definitely much better in terms of sharpness and contrast than the Tamron "equivalent".
