Item Description
Do you wish you had a 100mm 1:1 macro lens, but don't want to spend the $$$? Well, if you've got a 50mm lens, you're in luck! This Ricoh 1:1 Macro Focusing 2x Teleconverter will give you the equivalent of that 100mm macro. Just attach it to a 50mm f/1.4, and get a 100mm f/2.8 lens with 1:1 macro ability. Of course, it will work behind most any lens, acting as a simple 2x teleconverter, while also adding some degree of close-focusing ability. But the marking on the barrel of this TC show the magnifications reached when using a typical 50mm lens, because that's its most "natural" pairing. No reason you couldn't use it to turn that 200mm lens into a much slower 400mm if you wanted.

This TC doesn't have the "A" contacts to transmit the aperture data from the lens, even if you're using an A, F, or FA lens. When using this TC, you lose autofocus and auto-aperture capability. So you have to set your own aperture using the lens's aperture ring, and use stop-down metering to set your exposure. It's not too bad, really, since macro work usually allows that sort of methodical setup.

This converter is in excellent condition. It has been modified to remove the "Ricoh pin", but that's a simple task that doesn't damage the converter in any way. The helicoid action is smooth, and the glass is free of any scratches or fungus. Everything works as it should. It comes with a rear lens cap and front body cap.

I've attached a few shots of this TC, as well as a couple 1:1 macro photos taken using it with an FA50 f/1.4. Note that the FA50 pictured below is *not* included with your purchase. (But you may talk me out of it with a sweet enough offer.)

PayPal fees are included, as well as shipping via USPS Priority Mail to the lower 48. If you live in HI or AK, we'll work something out to keep it a good deal for you.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!
