Pentax 18-250mmF3.5-6.3ED+UV filter

Item Description
I bought this lens for a once-in-a-lifetime trip. It was terrific! At home I use my 16-50 and 50-135. This lens sits on the shelf.
Of course, like all the others, there is lens creep if you don't lock the lens. And there is vignetting at the widest end. But the lens is in pristine condition, without a mark on it. It has had a UV filter on it from day 1.

I have the Tamron version of this lens. I had to send it back to Tamron to fix a problem with rubber on the zoom ring. I asked them to tighten the lens to help with the lens creep. The result was same operation and no lens creep. In other words, it can be fixed. It's been almost a year since and it is still fine.

Quick tip for those experiencing lens creep. Find one of those Lance Armstrong "livestrong" yellow rubberbands and slip it over the lens. I place it over the section that says "pentax 18-250." The rubber will create extra friction on the barrel and limit the amount of creep.

Great idea, I'll have to give that a try. Mine creeps of course. Great lens though.
