So I bought a broken Spotmatic at a thrift store. It was completely locked up.

Some amount of fiddling later, it works, even the meter.

But the battery door is badly corroded, so once the current battery goes, that’s it for the meter.

I’m hoping someone has a good bottom plate from a Spottie that got dropped on it’s head or something they wouldn’t mind selling inexpensively...

It’s a ‘second batch’ Spotmatic from probably around 1972 or so based on the serial, if that makes a difference...
