No I don't: maybe I should but I won't. I tried to read it when I first got the camera but only understood or was interested in about 7%. I've tried to use it as a reference from time to time but rarely find what I'm looking for. I do have a copy of Yvon's book on my netbook when I travel (but never refer to it.) Bottom line: I'm a happy idiot whose mistakes sometimes turn out to be nice photographs ;~)

Always? How about "never!"

I do like the idea of a pdf for my iPhone though... Hadn't thought of that and it'd come in handy for those times I've actually wished I had the manual with me.

Yea it is extremely handy. There are a few pdf reader apps that blow the standard iphone reader out of the water. I use GoodReader, I've tried out several and it seems to be the most intuitive for me.

I always carry my manual with me.

It is in a ZipLoc bag in my camera bag. It takes almost no space and weighs a trifle.

I very rarely need it but when I do - there it is.

I downloaded AJA reader on my Ipod touch (works also on Iphone), which seems easy to use once you get the file load sorted out.

Mainly I thought of this as mike riley indicates, if there is something I want to do that I forgot.

It seems much more likely I will have my Ipod with me than either the manuals or a laptop.

I read this thread thinking it was about always carrying your manual cameras.

But no, I never have my manual with me. I think they might be back in their respective boxes.

Hee. Never. (Except perhaps for reading material if I go out for coffee or something and would be taking a book anyway.) I suppose if I had an Iphone or similar, maybe, I might as well have the electronic version there, (it'd be handy for the in-camera post processing I've yet to really get down) but extra dead weight is not something I need out there shooting.

Can't imagine reading the manual in the middle of the shoot. Would probably just leave the device at home until I got familiar with it and use something else.

I've read through the manual when I got the camera. Some parts I read more than once (was my first digital camera).

What's in the manual that you may need to look up after having it digested once?

I think the Manual for my K200D was opened once or twice, I have no idea if I ever looked at the Manual for the K7 - I just like to go for it and see what happens.

I got something similar in the box with my pz1. It stayed in my wallet for over 12 years
