The hunt
I've spent most of my life hunting, hiking, exploring and disappearing somewhere for hours (or days). It's the utter relaxation of nature interspersed with indescribable excitement that keeps drawing me. That excitement may be the bear that was around the corner and is now staring me in the eye... That excitement may be the realization what I am looking at is wonderfully beautiful and that one instance in time will be the only time I'll ever see it. Perhaps that instance is a leaf colored by autumn's kiss, a stream wandering it's way to waterfall, a downy chick struggling to swim the first time, a sunset, a sunrise - it really doesn't matter because they are all in their own way perfect (and imperfect), unique, beautiful, and only seen once.
So, photography is the memory. Photography is my ill-gotten attempts to capture that single moment of perfection. It is my passion, obsession, LBA... It's also one more reason to go out and truly do the things I love.
