is anyone heading down for the summit to take photos? any suggestions on keeping safe? i don't feel like getting arrested or have a garbage can thrown at my face.

Why not just ask the organizers what you can do and where you can go.

they had a security press conference this week even pointing out where the extra video survalence cameras were installed. I think they are being pretty open, and would not disuade a potographer, amature or otherwise.

You might also inquire about whether there is some form of event ID card. Why not?

As for staying away from trouble spots, the protest area at queen's park or security check points could be areas to avoid.
