I entered a photography competition at the Art Center where I do some contract work. The juror is printer David Adamson (meaning the fact that I do contract work there has no bearing on the jurying). I submitted the max of three images. Two were accepted. So the show was hung today and it opens Thursday. I went to look at the website to see the information posted on it and saw this:

Mine is in the middle of the top row. Provided they aren't rotating the images around that is . . .

Thanks all. The show opens Wednesday so I'm going to run by after work and see if my image being on the advertisement page means anything in terms of the jurying. I'm trying to not get my hopes up but one can dream right?

Thanks! And yes thanks to the forum members it's (I think I recall) a '56 Chevy 626 or something like that.

I ran up to see the show quickly after work and alas, my image on the promotinal webpage means nothing

. Oh well. I really wasn't getting my hopes up that it was anything more than random.

Highly doubtful that it's totally random Mel... At least the people putting the website together thought it was better than average or they wouldn't have put it up. Doesn't mean the actual judge will feel the same way, but I think it means you have a leg up...

Thanks Mike. The common factor with the winners was the printing (the juror is a printer). All were inkjet prints.

Sigh. Someday. But not anytime soon.
