What is LBA?

Hi all.

It may sounds stupid but can someone explain to me what LBA stands for?

You got it right, Pete. I have three 135mm primes and spent much of the last week and a half forcing myself not to bid on a FA135 and a Carl Zeiss Sonnar 135 screwmount. "But you already have three!!! I kept telling myself.

So I bought a SMC Takumar 28/3.5 and a Cosina MF 20/3.8 instead.

I'm an idiot.

Thanks for asking that question - I meant to a while back but didn't.... everyone seemed to be using it and I guess I didn't want to show my lack of knowledge - I knew it had to involve lens - I actually finally figured it out on my own. I guess it just shows if you don't ask you don't learn!

And by the way I have been 'infected' by it for the past few months - I never dreamt that lenses could have that effect on me! Who knew?

Not so sure. I mean...if you already have 3 or 4 copies of a lens...shudders.

I think it stands for "just kidding" - essentially the smae meaning as joking.

It's contagious too. Just gave in and bought myself a Promaster 70-300 zoom for the upcoming college marching band season...

It is definitely a disease.

as I am awaiting a 75-300 at the moment (already purchased but waiting for it).
FA50 f/1.4 has just been ordered and will await it's arrival.

And walked passed Ted's Camera store on my lunch break ... and noticed the vast array of lenses they actually have available in-store (something of a rare find here in Oz) ... and I just put a Tamron 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro on Lay-by.

LBA is bad ... I thought having horses and modifying cars was expensive ... was i wrong.

At least most of the items I am getting are on a lay-by style payment plan ... instead of spending money on other things in the meantime ... I am working towards getting something i really want.

I hope it stops after these "little" purchases. For a while ... hee hee

I normally go to RangeFinderForum.com and when I got my Pentax MX, I joined this site. On RangeFinderForum.com, we use the term GAS, which stands for Gear Acquisition Syndrome. Right now, I'm gassy for a Zeiss 20/f2.8 Flektogon.

Guess I've got GAS with a strong dose of LBA mixed in as well. Only limited by the dwindling $$$. Now for that FA*50-135....
