What a snooty 50mm

So was trying to snoot some light over product i was shooting, the snoot worked as it should, wraped around my flash head. The only problem was that it still was too wide and big. So with a quick pray to the almight MacGuyver gave me this idea. I attached my Pentax M 50mm f2 to the end of the snoot, fixed it there with a bit of my favorite multi-tool or Gaffers tape to some and there you go, Roberts you're uncle.

The 50mm focused the light to a comparrable pinpoint now. and because the light was focused (in a sense) i got to bring my power down .7 of a stop.

So I just though i would share that with all you guys out there. Lens' at the end of your soon try it, turned out quite well for me, i guess...

Yes, that black thing is the snoot

Alot better now, almost makes that lens desirable.....almost....

You, sir, are a genius. I wish I were wearing a hat so I could take it off to you.

What a brilliant idea. I didn't know that this was called snooting, but have used similar techniques for spotlight effects and will be trying this later today when I get home!

Thanks for the tip.
