K7 Infrared in "Capture One" and "PSE"

Gudday all,

I was wondering if anybody out there "in" the Internet, could tell me why my camera settings are removed when I go to view or process my Infrared shots in either Capture One, and or Adobe Photoshop Elements.

I have the settings set in the camera, but when I go to process them, the software automatically removes my Black and White Infrared camera settings. And resets the images to colour.

I haven't had either PSE or Capture One that long. And I used freeware before them. It is an annoying thing to have to rework the image, but I am sure that another person "in" the internet has had the same problem before.

Thanks for your help.

The Pentaxian.

Sounds like you are shooting RAW. With RAW the camera will not do any processing. If you shot JPG then the camera's PP capabilities will save your image in B&W or any other custom settings you choose.

Hello AOShep, thanks for the reply. I do shoot in RAW. Just haven't done large amounts of work with those applications before. I used to shoot in JPG, when I was using an old version of Fireworks. But I now have those new Apps, and have found a few little niggles. Nothing major, and nothing I cannot fix in a few clicks anyway. Still, thank you for the reply to my post. take care. TP.
