Actually those types of decrepit structures make great places to shoot... I'd like to have something like that to shoot models in. LOL

My wife convinced me that it would be ok just painted grey but I think I m just going to disconnect it and patch it closed. That will give me more functionality.

though I'm rather surprised by your choices in backgrounds.
Thanks, And why surprised about the backgrounds? Black and White are the 2 most versatile colors. I have freedom to add more. May buy a red one at some point and I can hang muslins or other fabric backgrounds easily.
Originally posted by psychdoc How did you get the right gray color at the paint store? Could you post the actual brand of paint and color name? Thanks.
I had a grayscale card that I took to Home Depot. Even then they detected a slight color cast but it was close enough and the clerks are hardly rocket scientists so I couldn't explain to them to take out everything except the black. Big thing is to select a base color that is pure white. Funny thing, the paint ended up almost an exact match tonally to gray primer. The actual paint was Behr Premium Plus Ultra Interior Flat (primer & paint combined). I can post the color recipe if you like but don't have it with me right now.
