anti shake on or off w/monopod

I normally keep my anti-shake on with a monopod using my k7 and my tamron 70-200.
I need to see if there is a major difference turning it off. I feel the monopod does steedy the camera but not as much as a tri-pod.

What do you other users do?

I leave it on when it's on my monopod and am happy with it.

I always leave mine on, whether I'm shooting hand held, tripod, monopod or dunked underwater...OK not really underwater, but you get the point...

I don't think it should make much difference, but I may be wrong, I haven't tried it. I rarely use either tri or monopod, 99% of my shots are hand held. I usually never even think about turning it off when I mount the camera on either.

A monpod is fairly sturdy, but slight movement is likely, especially side to side, so I leave SR on. It is, however, a good idea to turn it off when using a tripod. I often forget to turn it off, and when I do, I often forget to turn it back on when taking it off the tripod, so I have started using a remote or delay for mirror up when using a tripod. This automatically disables SR, and the mirror up function increases sharpness as well. As soon as you switch back to normal shooting, SR comes back on.

If my hands are on the camera I leave the SR ON.

If I am using a remote or the timer on a tripod, I would OFF it.
