Picked up $300

I feeling fairly pleased with myself./ This week I won $300 in a Photo competition held locally. There were about 60 entries.

A competition in Sydney, organised by the Sydney Botanic Gardens is coming up as well. $8000 1st prize.to be won. Come on Sydney and Aussie Pentaxians here is a chance to pick up a few extra dollars.

Hey congrats.
That's a nice picture. I really like the detail in the hair, beard and face.
The background is interesting. A wood carving? And I like the figures painted on it above the subject's head.

Thanks all. I appreciate your congrats.
As my wife said "It only gets back a tiny fraction of what I have spent on the hobby"

She is very good though and even encourages me to up date gear etc.

Congratulations, and not to be too picky, but did you win more than 1 prize? You mention $300 one place and $200 another. Did your wife take the $100 difference?

Actually Tom I won $200 in one section and $100 in another section with a different photo. Second Section had about 50 entries. Actually, I didn't want to be sounding like my modesty had blown out the window

***Incidentally, I was the only Pentax user entered, many Canikons.

This is the other shot. Thanks again all, on my good luck, more than anything I reckon.
