Are we hooked?

We're being marketed to like crazy. Who wouldve thought that there would be discussions of selling cameras to buy the next new on within months of purchasing something?

Why, back in the old days.......we kept cameras for 5-10 years sometimes.

Mine wasn't there either. I bought a deluxe point and shoot... got hooked on photography and wanted to go DSLR

I plan to keep this one til it dies!!

Yes, but even over periods of 10 years or so, there weren't really major improvements in technology for a flapping mirror, sliding shutter, and dilating/constricting iris.

I bought my K100d at the end of May. Before that the last camera I bought was in 1980 when I purchased my ME Super. I tend to hang on to things for awhile.

A K100D to keep my Samsung GX-1L and the rest of my rag tag film lenses company. :P

Bought a 10D used about 2 years ago, sold it and my Canon lenses, according to UPS my GX10 should be here on monday.
